About the Silver Firebird Trout Fly
The Silver Firebird is a good stalking pattern that quickly gets down to the selected individual fish.
Expert Tip:
Stalkbugs were "invented" for fishing ultra-clear stillwaters which are stocked with large brown and rainbow trout. The technique is based on the induced take method, whereby the pattern is cast and left to sit, in ambush, on a path that the target fish is travelling through on a regular basis. As the fish nears, the line is retrieved, causing the pattern to "jump-up" and imitate a quick getaway which stimulates a feeding response in the fish. They are extremely effective in this regard
