About the Grey Palmer Trout Fly
The Grey Palmer is one of the series of Palmers that are reputedly the oldest of all British flies.
Over the centuries they have held their own special place in fly boxes, seeming to represent caterpillars or moths or an interesting morsel to a waiting trout.
Fished wet they are refered to as woolly worms or woolly bears imitating nymphs, shrimps or larvae.
