About the Mole Fly Trout Fly
The Mole Fly reputedly got its name from the River Mole, in the Surrey area of southern England. During the last 70 years it has become far more popular as a killing pattern in Europe, especially France.

- Rib : Fine gold wire.
- Hackle : Palmered, red cock with black base.
- Wings : Mottled hen pheasant.
Thw wings are tied well forward.
